Assistant Chief of LAPD to speak on leadership

Michael Moore to visit for School of Business Speaker Series

May 7, 2012—On May 15, Michael R. Moore, Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, will share his thoughts on the skills needed to be an effective leader in the 21st century, in both the public and private sector as the special guest speaker for the University of Redlands School of Business series on Leadership and Management. The event will take place at the University of Redlands Burbank location.

Assistant Chief Michael R. Moore earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from the University of Redlands in 1993 and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Redlands in 1999. As a 30-year veteran and the director of the Office of Special Operations of the Los Angeles Police Department, Assistant Chief Moore oversees the Detective Bureau, the Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau, and Citywide Jail and Property operations. Assistant Chief Moore has received numerous awards for his police service including the department’s medal of valor, the police medal, and the meritorious service medal.
