Hall of Letters 100

The Visiting Writers Series of the Creative Writing department hosts the final event of the Spring 2012 season, the Senior Portfolio/Redlands Review Reading.

The evening will feature readings of creative nonfiction, fiction and poetry from graduating seniors who have completed a senior portfolio in Creative Writing this year.

The second half of the event will feature readings from the 2012 issue of the University's literary magazine, "Redlands Review" and includes the presentation of the Best of the Review Award. Copies of the Review will be available for purchase for five dollars.

Refreshments will be available and the evening will conclude with a party for the publication of this year's magazine.

"This event celebrates the culmination of a lot of hard work from students exploring creative writing at the University of Redlands this year," said Professor Greg Bills. "We encourage everyone to come and enjoy what these students have created."

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
