Women of Distinction

Continuing the Town & Gown tradition of fostering strong relationships between the University of Redlands and the Inland Empire community, 10 outstanding women will be recognized for their diverse accomplishments and contributions to the community at the 29th annual Women of Distinction “Women for all Seasons” event March 10, 2012 at the Orton Center, University of Redlands.

The women selected through a community nomination process are: Brenda Brennan, Peggy Brier, Sandy Courtney, Cheryl Evans, Lorraine Jorgenson, Ann Leonard, Lynne Patalano, Lillian Vasquez, Catherine Walker and Marion Mitchell-Wilson. They will be honored for their work in medicine, education, the arts, community activism, service to youth and volunteerism.

The host of this year’s event is actor Carey Curtis Smith, a third-generation Redlands native who will bring his talents to entertain and emcee.

Reservations for this annual sell-out event must be received no later than March 1, 2012. Cost of the event is $50, and all proceeds benefit the Town & Gown Scholarship Endowment.
