Spring 2012 New Works Festival

Eight short plays written by Redlands students

Directed by guest Jennifer Stoessner

These eight scripts were first conceived in fall 2011 as part of Professor Steve Shade’s THA 210 Playwriting class. These short plays will be performed as a staged reading with minimal design and scripts in hand.

With topics as wide-ranging as mental health and paranoia, the implications of war, coping with loss, and the ups (and downs) of romance, the production promises to incorporate a variety of theatrical styles and to satisfy a variety of audience tastes.

The New Works Festival involves a cast of 18 actors and showcases eight talented student writers.
