Nancy Helms is a professional dance teacher and choreographer. She received her early training in dance at the nationally renowned Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, and the School of American Ballet in NYC which is associated with the New York City Ballet Company. She earned a Masters degree in Dance in 1992 from American University in Washington, D.C. Nancy has an extensive performing background in both ballet and modern dance. She is a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing from which she has received much of her teaching training.
Since moving from Pennsylvania to Alta Loma, California in 1992, Nancy has been active as a master teacher, choreographer, and performing coach for many southern California community colleges, universities, and dance studios. She is recognized for her excellence as a choreographer and director of classical ballet pieces. Currently, Nancy is an adjunct faculty member of Victor Valley College, and the University of Redlands. |
