Meet our mascot, Adelaide. "Addie" is our first female mascot in history of the university! She was named for the founding first lady of the University and wife to the first President, Jasper Newton Field.
She apprenticed with Thurber at the beginning of the 2017-18 academic year, and was installed as official mascot at a home basketball game on January 20, 2018.
Addie's handler is Mary Littlejohn '03, '12, Assistant Director of Alumni and Community Relations. As her platform, Addie has selected the encouragement of more rescue animal adoptions, especially of bulldogs.
Adelaide (“Addie”) is crowned the official mascot of the University of Redlands, as adoring fans look on. “Addie, may you wear your crown wisely and for many years to come,” Donna Eddleman, University dean of student affairs, proclaims.
