Who may request services?

All Armacost Library patrons may. We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff members of University of Redlands with special needs to request assistance. Armacost Library patrons who are not part of the University community are also encouraged to ask for assistance.

What services do you have for people with hearing difficulties?

Earphones to use with computers, laptops and the listening/viewing equipment in the Media Room are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk.


How can the Armacost Library building be physically accessed?

All the floors of Armacost Library have elevator access. The elevator at the south side of the building goes to the first and second floors, as well as the Hunsaker Plaza level. To reach the third and fourth floors, patrons must access the elevator on the north end of the building. Please see the Library Floor Maps for reference.

Where are the accessible restrooms in Armacost?

Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the third floor only.


What assistive technology is available at Armacost?

A computer workstation in the reference/research area is equipped with Kurzweil 3000 and Read & Write Gold 9. Both are text-to-speech software designed to help users with reading and writing tasks.

The software are installed on the computer that is also connected to the public use flatbed scanner. Please ask the reference librarian on duty for assistance.
