I Got Lost performance

" I Got Lost," the work of Inland Empire choreographers Sofia Carreras, Kirsten Johansen and Roya Carreras,  will feature artistry and beauty in the genres of modern dance, ballet and dance theatre at 8 p.m. May 4 in the Glenn Wallichs Theatre at the University of Redlands.

Carreras is the artistic director and founder of Intersect Dance Theatre. Originally from Spain, she has danced alongside Mikhail Baryshnikov and has trained figure skaters in ballet. She holds a master’s degree in fine arts and is an associate professor of dance at Riverside Community College.

Johansen is a dancer, choreographer and co-founder of Odd Jobs Performance. She has choreographed numerous theatrical productions in New York and California including Caberet at the University. Johansen has taught at several colleges in Mexico, New York and California. Currently, she teaches at Riverside Community College and the University of Redlands.

Carreras is co-founder of Odd Jobs Performance. She has worked with the California Riverside Ballet, Luna Negra Dance Theatre and a commission for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Carreras has taught throughout Southern California and her work has been showcased at the Electric Lodge Theatre and BRAVA.
