HOURS:   Part-time, 20 hours per week

DESCRIPTION:   The University of Redlands’ Counseling Center is seeking a Case Manager to provide a broad range of mental health services to a highly diverse student population to include 1st generation, low income, and international college students. 

 Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Assume a variety of case management and direct clinical responsibilities

•Initial assessments and triage

•Comprehensive case management for students with trauma histories, eating disorders and/or other significant psychiatric problems as they transition through different levels of mental health care

•Facilitation of hospitalizations as well as having primary responsibility for follow up after hospitalization including coordination of resources in discharge plan

•Design and implementation of focused support groups

•Participation in multidisciplinary CARE team meetings and follow-up with students with mental health issues

•Collaborate with community treatment centers and mental health professionals in order to streamline the referral process

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC (licensed in CA). Minimum of 5 year’s related experience with at least three years of acceptable clinical experience. Advanced diagnostic and clinical skills, particularly with respect to crisis intervention. Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.  Cultural sensitivity. Demonstrated ability to work with serious psychopathology and to work with family members.  Experience in case management. This position requires strong motivation, drive, and proven ability to competently interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Successful candidate will have experience using the Internet and be competent in a variety of Windows-based computer programs including MS Word and Excel.
