When do I Arrive?

Students at Orientation Check-in

First-Year and Transfer Students 


All new students (first year and transfer) are required to come for the entire New Student Orientation beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 and continuing to Monday, Sept. 7.  Mandatory Orientation Registration is 8 a.m.  to noon at the Hunsaker University Center on Sept. 2. 

 

 

Johnston Center Students
If you are a Johnston first-year student, you are also required to arrive on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Once you have completed the mandatory orientation registration process in the Hunsaker University Center Lobby between 8 a.m.-noon, please check into your residence hall. We will be having an afternoon and evening of community introductions and events. Parents are encouraged to join that night's festivities and stay over for the orientation activities on Thursday, Sept. 3.

International Students
Miral Charabi, International Student Advisor, will send information regarding arrangements for early arrival, transportation from LAX, and check-in with your residence hall soon. You may contact Miral Charabi at: 909- 748-8716 or email: miral_charabi@redlands.edu.

Fall Sport Athletes
First-year and transfer students who are participating in a fall sport will be required to arrive on campus earlier for health screening and practices. You will receive additional information/changes about your schedule directly from your coaching staff.   Please contact your coaches or the Athletic Department for further information or questions.

Arrival dates and times are as follows: 

  • Women's Soccer, Thursday, August 20, 1 - 2 p.m.
  • Football and Volleyball, Saturday August 22, 2015, 10 a.m.  - noon.
  • Men’s Soccer, Men's Water Polo, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Sunday August 23, 2015, 10 a.m. - noon.
  • Cheer, Wednesday, Sept. 2, along with the new students.

Returning Students
The halls open for all returning students on Sunday, Sept. 6th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  If you are living on campus please go directly to your residence hall.
