Selection Process

Truesdail Center for Communicative Disorders provides clinical service in speech-language pathology and audiology for infants, children and adults with communicative disorders. Truesdail Center serves the greater Inland Empire area.  Clinical services are provided by graduate and undergraduate students under the direct supervision of faculty who are certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

We are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The first step to bring your spouse or child to Truesdail Center is to complete our application forms. Complete either the adult application or the child application and the four release forms.

Mail the forms to:
University of Redlands
Truesdail Center
1200 East Colton Ave
Redlands, CA 92373

When we have an open spot in our clinic, your family member will be brought in for a thorough assessment of communicative abilities. This assessment includes exploration of the history of the problem, diagnostic testing, and a conference with the parent or spouse. If your child or spouse needs therapy, an appointment will be made for them to come two days a week for 50 minute sessions. Therapy sessions are made in conformance to the academic schedules of our students and faculty.

If there is no space available in the Clinic, your child or spouse will be placed on the waiting list and will be notified as soon as an opening occurs. There is no estimation of how long they might be on the waiting list. The important thing is to secure a spot on the waiting list by completing and mailing the forms back to us. There is no financial requirement to be placed on the waiting list.

Take Action

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
