Study Abroad

Student in Austria

The University of Redlands has a long tradition of encouraging and supporting study abroad. We have learned that for most of our students few educational experiences promise greater opportunity for growth. Whether you are interested in our semester-long program in Salzburg, Austria, the Oaxaca and Guatemala Integrated Semester, or one of our outstanding approved opportunities throughout the world, Redlands offers something for everyone.

Students from all disciplines, including the sciences, are supported in their desire to go abroad. All students—from athletes to musicians—find that they can have a study abroad experience and continue to make progress toward graduation. Learn more about our study abroad policies.

Looking for short-term travel opportunities? Every May, our outstanding faculty offer a diverse range of short-term credit-granting travel courses. Some courses have course prerequisites; others require only enthusiasm, curiosity and the ability to deal with unfamiliar situations.

Thurber, an English bulldog, is the University's mascot.

He is named after Clarence Howe Thurber, University president from 1933-37.
