Professional Background

For the past 26 years, Mr. Schlitt has been a free-lance percussionist performing in various ensembles and orchestras throughout Southern California. He directs the percussion ensemble at the University of Redlands and is currently the timpanist with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra, principal percussionist with Music Theatre of Southern California and an extra percussionist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He is an accomplished percussion educator, clinician and author of the drum set method book Rock Connection.
