It is your responsibility to complete The Common Application, the University of Redlands Supplemental Application, and the School of Music application.
In addition to filing The Common Application and the University of Redlands Supplemental Application for Admission, an audition and supplementary materials are also required.
We encourage you to learn more about the School of Music programs by visiting our campus and meeting with faculty members and students prior to applying for admission.
| Bachelor of Music applicants are required to apply and audition for admission to the School of Music and apply to the University of Redlands. The School of Music can only inform you of your audition results or scholarship recommendation after you have been officially admitted to the University of Redlands. |
Please contact the Director of Music Admissions, Brad Andrews, at (909) 748-8014 for more information and to have a School of Music information packet sent to you.
Application for admission to the School of Music begins with your application to the University of Redlands.
The University of Redlands processes admissions on a "rolling" basis, which means that you can apply - and be accepted – any time throughout the admissions season. Traditionally, the admission season runs from September 1st to March 1st..
Music entrance and scholarship audition dates for fall 2014 applicants are scheduled for November 23, 2013 and January 18, February 1 and February 15, 2014. The audition day will consist of:
- Instrumental or vocal audition
- Theory screening test
- Meet the faculty
- Campus tour
- Financial Aid Q&A
Several of our students will also be present to show you around and answer any questions you might have.
Auditions are required of all School of Music students who are planning to major or minor in music. Non-major ensemble participants do not need to audition prior to enrolling. You will need to contact the Director of Music Admissions, Brad Andrews, to schedule an audition on one of our audition days. If you cannot attend one of these days and/or you live more than 200 miles away, we will accept a recorded audition.
