Academics

A Real Community

Kory Myers' search for a personal, closeknit academic community brought him to the University of Redlands.

Transcript of the video interview:

"When my company went through some ‘right sizing’ a few years ago, I realized I needed to more aggressively pursue my educational goals to ensure some job security. I considered several universities but the University of Redlands kept rising to the top of my list. I wanted a school with a hometown feel; one with an environment where I could communicate face to face with faculty and classmates. I also wanted a university with an Ivy-League reputation that catered to working adults of all ages. Students at Redlands range in age from their 20s to their 50s and have diverse work and business experiences to share. The faculty are not only accessible and approachable, they are also topnotch teachers. The road to earning my degree was sometimes challenging, but the experience and the outcome were definitely satisfying."
