Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program can reduce higher education costs for veterans.
If you’re a veteran of the U.S. military with three years of active duty that began after 9/11, the new Yellow Ribbon Program can reduce your higher education costs.
The Yellow Ribbon Program features dollar-for-dollar matching between universities and the federal government in order to give veterans more education options, including private liberal arts colleges.
For example, as an official Yellow Ribbon Program Partner designated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the University of Redlands awards qualifying student veterans up to $5,000 per year ($10,000 per year with VA match) to help offset tuition expenses, or the cost of books and other educational supplies. And that makes the Yellow Ribbon Program a golden opportunity for veterans.
*The University of Redlands limits academic residency to no more than twenty-five percent of the degree requirements for all undergraduate degrees for active-duty servicemembers. Academic residency can be completed at any time while active-duty servicemembers are enrolled. Reservists and National Guardsmen on active-duty are covered in the same manner.
