Adjunct Faculty Profiles

donkim

Don Kim is a results-driven business professional with over 15 years’ worth of successful accomplishments in diverse industries ranging from finance, retail, healthcare and IT, with a strong concentration for the past 10 years in program and project management, business analysis, software development and large scale infrastructure deployments in the IT industry.  He currently works for 120 Venture Construction, a project management consultancy firm whose clients include NBC Universal, Direct TV and Toyota Financial Services.

He is also a certified PMP, ScrumMaster as well as writer, speaker, educator, trainer and consultant on project management topics.  He runs a popular PM website at www.projectation.com.

Ella Anastasiu

Ella Anastasiu, M.B.A., P.M.P. has two decades of experience in various fields of information technology and business, including as ERP/CRM design and implementation, program management, system application development, database administration and ebusiness.  She managed large technology programs predominately in aerospace and defense industries as well as PMO and operations teams in media and finance industries.  Currently a project director for WellPoint, Ella manages large regional and enterprise programs/projects in the healthcare industry.

Ella holds an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a master's degree in computer science from the Technical University in Transylvania, Romania.  She is PMP certified.

Keith Boyle

Keith Boyle, M.B.A. is principal consultant with Quality & Productivity Resources. He has spent over 30 years working with manufacturing and high-tech organizations in North America, Asia and Europe. Prior to founding QPR in 1997 he spent over 10 years as manager, total quality assurance for Solar Turbines (Industrial Gas Turbines)/Caterpillar implementing Lean and Six-Sigma and provided leadership to their winning application in the 1998 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Keith is the program director for Lean Six-Sigma with the University of San Diego and was the Lean and Six-Sigma program developer, academic advisor and lead instructor with the University of California, San Diego. In addition, he is currently the education chair officer for the San Diego Chapter of American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Keith is an ASQ Certified Six-Sigma Black-Belt and a Certified Lean/Six-Sigma Master Black-Belt. He has also earned certifications in manufacturing engineering and integrated resource management from the Association for Operations Management. Keith has also earned the California Quality Award as an examiner and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of California.

Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Manchester Polytechnic, U.K. and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Redlands.

Randy Day

Randall F. Day, M.B.A., P.M.P. joined Southern California Edison in 1980 in an entry level labor position.  Throughout his 30-year career he has advanced through multiple levels of supervisory and project management positions in the construction, customer service, training and supply management organizations. 

Randall earned his master's degree in business administration and project management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.  He is a certified project management professional and a certified purchasing manager.

Kay Dundas

Kathryn B. Dundas, M.A.M., P.M.P., has over 20 years of management experience working with large, global companies such as Eli Lilly, Guidant Corporation and General Electric.  Her experience includes information technology, customer service, distribution, logistics and project management.  She has been responsible for budgets of up to $50 million, and organizations of up to 125 employees.  She currently serves as a senior IT project manager with LPL Financial. 

Kathryn holds a bachelor's degree in business information systems from the University of South Florida and a master's degree in management from the University of Redlands.  She is a certified project management professional, certified Scrum master and a certified computer professional.  Kathryn is an active member of the Project Management Institute and Scrum Alliance.

Brad Heath

Brad Heath, D.B.A has been a core adjunct faculty member with the University of Redlands since 1986. Brad has taught over 300 courses, both graduate and undergraduate, for the School of Business in the areas of accounting, finance and information systems/information technologies.  He earned an outstanding teaching award in 2001.  Brad is a project manager/senior business analyst for ACS Corporation, a division of Xerox, where he has served for 14 years. Prior to that, Brad was a systems engineer/manager for NCR Corporation for 19 years.

Brad holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton, a master's degree in business administration from National University, and a doctoral degree in business administration from Charles Sturt University in Australia.  He received his certifications in project management and advanced project management from the University of California, Irvine. Brad also earned a Cambridge University INSTEAD certificate through the University of Redlands.

Paul Henry

Paul Henry, M.B.A., P.M.P. is presently a senior business analyst at Southern California Edison, where he focuses on database administration, project management, compliance and analytics.  Prior to joining Edison, Paul owned and operated a mortgage and real estate corporation with offices in Nevada and California, as well a a small consulting company.  He still owns and operates both companies on a limited basis.

Paul holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Pepperdine University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Irvine.  He is also the vice-president of programs at the Inland Empire Chapter of the Project Management Institute.

Doug Henstridge

Douglas Henstridge, M.B.A., P.M.P. has more than 15 years experience managing IT and engineering related projects.  He has specialized in spatial data management, asset and facility management, business process automation, and GIS implantation projects, ranging in size from several hundred thousands to tens of millions of dollars in delivered project value.  He has led project efforts in Europe and the Middle East.

Douglas holds a master's degree from Ruprecht-Karls Univeritaet in Germany, and a master's degree in business and technology management from the University of Phoenix.  He is a certified project management professional.

Robert Hupp

Robert Hupp, M.B.A., P.M.P. is a consulting and systems integration practice leader with over twenty years of experience.  He has worked with a diverse set of private and public sector clients completing projects in cloud computing, enterprise resource planning (E.R.P.), enterprise modernization and project recovery.

Rob is a P.M.I.-certified Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) and an active instructor in local P.M.I. chapter Credential Exam Preparation Workshop series.  Rob holds a bachelors' degree in economics from Georgetown University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.

Kamal Inamdar

Kamal Vinayak Inamdar, Ph.D., P.M.P. has over 30 years of combined experience in engineering, manufacturing management, project management and finance. He has taught business and management courses at two California State University campuses.

Kamal holds a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University, India, a master's degree in business administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills and a doctoral degree in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University.  He is a certified project management professional.

King Lam

King Lam, M.B.A., P.M.P. is a business process architect at Southern California Edison, providing business process improvement and project management on enterprise-wide software systems and power plant operations.  King has worked with both technical and non-technical professionals in the areas of finance, IT, and operations management in a wide array of industries, including internet startups, banking, insurance and IT consulting.

King holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, from the University of Southern California and a master's degree in business administration in finance from Azusa Pacific University.  King is a certified project management professional, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, with certificates in advanced project management from Stanford University, and change leadership from Cornell University.

Karen McKelvie

Karen McKelvie, M.B.A., P.M.P. has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry leading operational units, business analysts and project managers. Currently Karen leads a team of project managers for a large student loan servicer where she oversees the project life cycle for new business projects including mergers and acquisitions, loan transfers and new loan product development.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from California State University, Fullerton and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Redlands.  She is a certified project management professional.

Bob Mehta

Bob Mehta,  M.B.A., M.S.Q.A. is the principal consultant at GMP ISO Expert Services. Bob brings over 20 years of experience working at Allergan and Edwards Lifesciences, manufacturers of pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical devices. He has managed cGMP areas of quality, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, R&D, cGMP laboratories, global technical operations, and change control functions. Bob has participated in corporate audit programs to perform GMP, ISO/TUV (9001 and 13485), ICH (Q7A), and pre-approval inspection of global vendors, suppliers, and third party manufacturers. He has provided global training and presentations on risk assessment, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and Six Sigma methodologies. He teaches quality assurance, process improvement, and risk management courses at North Orange County Community College and the University of California, Riverside.

Bob holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Ahmedabad Science College, India, a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, and a second master's degree in quality assurance from California State University, Dominguez Hills.  In addition, Bob is a certified quality auditor, quality system auditor, Six-Sigma Black Belt, quality engineer, biomedical auditor, software quality engineer and Lean Pharma certification recipient from Michigan Engineering College. 

Laura Metzger

Laura Metzger, M.B.A., P.M.P. is the director for enterprise IT business initiatives at Arena Pharmaceuticals, with responsibility for managing the organization's IT program management office and IT portfolio.  She worked for over 20 years at SAIC where she served most recently as vice-president.  Her management and IT experience covers a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical and life sciences, telecommunications, education, and federal, state and local government. 

Laura holds a master's degree in business administration from Capella University.  She is a certified project management professional.

Joe Mignone

Joseph Mignone, B.S. is a principal consultant with JFM Global Associates.  He has more than 35 years of professional experience in project management, accounting, leadership, change management, organizational effectiveness, quality management systems, quality auditing, Six Sigma, performance measurements, lean enterprise methodology, ISO standards and business management. Joe’s work at Solar Turbines Inc. was instrumental in the organization receiving the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Award in 1998.

Joe holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the City University of New York.  He has completed graduate work at USIU in international relations and marketing and also holds several professional certifications.

Vic Muglia

Victor O. Muglia, D.B.A. is currently director of solutions delivery for SpiderWorks Group. His career includes service in the healthcare, information technology, finance and manufacturing industries.  He has held senior positions in information technology and operations with Kaiser Permanente, Alltel Information Services, Litton Enterprise Solutions, KPMG Consulting, BearingPoint and the Solar Turbines Division of Caterpillar.  Victor has also served as adjunct professor at the University of Southern California and the University of Denver. He is written three books and published over 40 papers in international journals and conference proceedings.

Victor holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles and a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California and a doctoral degree in business administration from Alliant International University.  He is a certified Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner, certified enterprise integrator, certified systems integrator and has a certificate in data processing.

Mike Oboczky

Mike Oboczky, M.B.A., P.M.P. has served more than 25 years in the enterprise computer industry with experience in training, team leadership, program management, partner management, and service planning and management.  He has held positions at Hitachi Data Systems including manager of technical training, support manager for partners, and director of service planning and is currently service product manager at Teradata Corp. 

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.  He is a certified project management professional and is certified in ITIL V3 Foundations.

Tatiana Ovanessoff

Tatiana Ovanessoff, M.B.A., P.M.P. is a senior business process consultant.  She has worked with both technical and non-technical professionals in a wide array of industries, including consumer electronics, software development, finance and employee benefits administration.  Her experience includes engagements with Sony Network Entertainment, TRI-AD Actuaries, Sony Electronics, 3Com, Science Applications International and Deloitte. 

Tatiana holds a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University.  She is a certified project management professional, Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 2000 auditor.  She has been an instructor for the project management exam prep course for the past five years.

Jaime Rush

Jaimie M. Rush, M.B.A., P.M.P. has over 15 years experience in project management including multi-million dollar initiatives in the consumer products, financial and IT industries.  Her responsibilities have included direct mail advertising, project launch/development, system implementation and sales programs designed to open untouched markets.  She currently serves as director, project management at the Los Angeles Times Media Group and is also a part-time business instructor for the University of LaVerne and the University of Redlands. 

Jaimie holds a master's degree in business administration from Brigham Young University.  She is a certified project management professional.

Simran Sahny

Simran Sahny, M.H.A. is a senior level program manager in the delivery systems strategy group at Kaiser Permanente.  Previously she was a strategy consultant with Pricewater Coopers.  Her expertise is leading strategy development and implementation efforts on large scale projects, and she has a strong background in financial analysis and risk management.

Simran holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's degree in health administration from University of Southern California.

virginia sullivan

Virginia Sullivan, M.S., P.M.P. has 20 years of experience in the defense, manufacturing, engineering, telecommunications and healthcare industries.  In addition to the University of Redlands, she has served as an instructor in project management for San Diego State University. 

Virginia holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego State University and a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.  She is a certified project management professional with a manufacturing engineering certificate from UCLA.

Steve Timberman

Steven Timberman, M.S., P.M.P. is a systems engineer with AgilePath Corporation, currently providing service oriented architecture governance consulting as a subcontractor for the U.S. Air Force on the Air and Space Oprations Center weapon system modernization program.  Previously, Steve served as IT director for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority where he managed a staff of over 50 IT professionals and a portfolio of programs and projects in support of 35 departments.  He has over 22 years of IT management experience spanning the insurance, banking, energy and public transportation industries.

Steve holds a bachelor's of science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a master's degree in computer science from West Coast University.  He is a Certified Computing Professional, a fellow of the Life Management Institute and a certified Project Management Professional.  He is also a member of the global Project Management Institute and a member of the PMI Inland Empire Chapter.

Shelly Wright

Shelly Kang Wright, B.S., P.M.P. is the chief product officer at Scorpion Computer Services.  Shelly brings over fifteen years of experience in project, quality and compliance management, and process improvement in medium and large Fortune 500 businesses, such as Capital Group's "The American Funds," EarthLink Network Inc., Public Communication Services, and Kaiser Permamente.

Shelly holds a bachelor's of science degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix.  She also holds certifications and industry training from the Project Management Institute, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, IT Service Management, and New York Institute of Finance.

Sam Yazdani

Sam Yazdani, M.B.A., P.M.P. joined Merck in 2009 as project manager in its bioscience division.  He has 25 years experience in biotech and life sciences as an entrepreneur, project manager, general manager and CEO.  He holds three U.S. patents and has worked for companies such as Genentech, Gilead Sciences, Upjohn and Synergic Analytics.

Sam holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Western Michigan University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.  He is a certified project management professional.
