Community Service Learning

"Everybody can be great...

because anybody can serve."

-Martin Luther King Jr.

Our Mission

The Office of Community Service Learning supports, recognizes and promotes the educational benefits of learning through service, encouraging University of Redlands students to build healthier, stronger communities.

Community Service Learning Program

Students gain a greater understanding of problems faced by individuals and communities through participation in, and reflection on, service outreach. All undergraduate students at the University of Redlands are required to participate in a transcripted Community Service Activity (CSAC) or faculty-taught service-learning course. Students may fulfill this requirement during any semester, May Term or summer placement. Service contracts typically consist of service at non-profit agencies, hospitals and schools.
