I teach fiction writing workshops through the Creative Writing Department and yoga classes through Johnston.
I have 4 published novels.
I have a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.F.A. from University of California at Irvine.
I taught three years at Orange Coast College, Irvine Valley College, and UCI and five years at LSU.
I was a National Merit Winner and a Presidential Scholar in high school. While at LSU, I was a Carnegie-Melloon Fellow at Harvard through the Bunting Institude. My second published novel received the Phillip. K. Dick Award.

"Strange Toys" was also published in Great Britain, France, and is currently being translated into Japanese.
