May Term Travel Grants

The Study Abroad Office and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences are pleased to announce May Term Travel Grants will be available for May Term 2015.
Interested students may apply in fall 2014.
*Application forms will be available at the 2015 May term Travel fair on September 9th, 2014 in the Casa Loma room at 7pm. Applications can also be found online and must be turned in by Friday September 26th 2014.
Students may request up to $1,000.00 in individual grants, with a written justification identifying the course(s) they prefer and the need for the grant. In exceptional cases, the selection committee may award more than $1,000, depending on a student’s justification and program needs.
Students receiving a grant will not receive the money directly; instead it will be credited to the appropriate travel course account and the amount that the student needs to pay towards the course fee will be reduced by that amount.
The May Term Advisory Committee will review applications between September 26th and October 10.  All applicants will be notified of their status soon after so that grants are available by the date of the first deposit on October 15.

Financial Aid eligibility is required for travel grants.
Consideration will be given to those students who have never studied off campus in a University of Redlands sponsored semester long Study Abroad program or May Term travel course.
Students are only eligible for one May Term travel grant in their time at Redlands.
Students from all classes are eligible to apply for a grant, including seniors.

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
