About Redlands

Looking forward to...

What are you looking forward to?

The people. Music (I have a special place in my heart for music). And in no particular order: knowing student musicians, artists, athletes. Being a fan of the a cappella groups on campus. Supporting a faculty of quality. Meeting a fine team of senior colleagues. Finding resonance with the more than 40,000 U of R alumni who love equally as do I what U of R is about, so that together we can all gather the resources to move Redlands to the next level in its evolution. I look forward to hearing the University Choir and the University of Redlands Orchestra performing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, with the choral finale "Ode to Joy", which must be the finest musical representation of universal humanism. Living near palm trees, something I haven’t experienced in a long time. Introducing my wife Nancy to Redlands. Did I mention music?
