Kids not only get to hear the instruments in action, but get to try them out at the Instrument Petting Zoo! Admission is free and no tickets are required.

The concert, which will be conducted by Maestro Co Nguyen, assistant conductor of the Redlands Symphony, will feature music from Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite and Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.

“For kids who already play an instrument, this is an opportunity to show off their musical skills,” Paul Ideker, president and CEO of the Redlands Symphony, said. “And for kids who are thinking about the possibility of getting more involved in music, this is the kind of experience that can heighten their interest and encourage them to pick up an instrument and give it a try.”

This year’s concert is being held in tribute to Lois Lauer, a Redlands business woman and philanthropist who was a major supporter of the symphony’s programs for young people.
