This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Redlands Sustainability Network and it will take place from  11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn between Lewis Hall and the Armacost Library.

The Redlands Sustainability Network plans on turning this into an annual event that educates the public on sustainable ideals and practices, like local farming and efficient transportation.

The festival will include a keynote speech by University of Redlands President Ralph Kuncl at 11:15 a.m., and talks by Redlands City Councilman Jon Harrison at 11:45 a.m. and 34 Million Friends of the U.N.’s Jane Roberts at 1:30 p.m.  Topics that will be covered during the day include healthy eating, gardening, meditation, and sustainable business practices, and festival attendees will have the chance to take tours of campus gardens, practice yoga, and watch films made by University of Redlands Prof. Monty Hempel.  Outside of Armacost Library, several special vehicles will be parked, including the OmniTrans Education Bus, Edison Education Center, and Verizon Education Van.

Live music will be provided by Tucker’s Band, Brian Roche’s Band, Buffalo Blues Band, and Overeasy Band.
