Gifts to Posterity : Bequests and Other Testamentary Gifts
Bequests and other testamentary gifts are safe, prac¬tical, and useful estate planning tools.
An unrestricted testamentary gift allows the university the flexibility to use it where it will make an immediate impact, whereas a restricted one allows you to direct it to a program or use that holds meaning for you.

A Legacy of Legacies: The George P. Cortner Heritage Society
From 1914 to 1946, George P. Cortner served the University of Redlands as business manager. At the conclusion of his tenure, he left behind a legacy of hard work, sacrifice, and service that has characterized the university ever since.
The George P. Cortner Heritage Society honors Cortner for his many tangible and intangible legacies to the university. It also honors those special individuals who have committed themselves to leaving legacies of their own to Redlands.
If you have included Redlands in your estate plans, have made it an irrevocable beneficiary of a charitable or other inter vivos trust, or have named it as a beneficiary of a life insurance contract or qualified retirement account, you are eligible for membership.
